Reduce Tumble Dryer Running Costs.

Dryer Balls help you save time and electricity.

Use your clothes dryer for less time and save energy.

As a Tumble Dryer Engineer and also a user of the dryer in my own home, I’m always looking for ways to cut down tumble dryer operating costs as well as the amount of additives or detergents needed to clean as well as dry clothing.

I’ve been using and also recommending dryer balls now for a couple of years, having fantastic results.

So what are tumble dryer balls?

They are similar in size to a tennis ball and are covered in spikes and nodes. Packaged as a pair of 2, generally one will be blue the other is red or pink. One will have more rounded spikes and nodes, one will have angular type spikes and nodes.

First Saving.

Just place the dryer balls in to your clothes dryer along with the laundry. The idea is that when the laundry inside the dryer tumbles round, the clothes are constantly getting massaged by the dryer balls. They are specially designed to break up stiffness produced by water drying out. This means there will be no need for fabric softening or conditioning sheets.

Second Saving.

As the clothes dryer balls are continually massaging your laundry during the tumble cycle, there is no need to use fabric conditioner in your washing machine either. The dryer balls break up any hardness in your laundry and also soften the laundry as they tumble around.

Third Saving.

The dryer balls pick up as well as separate your washing whilst drying, that minimizes drying time and also decreases creasing, which means you can dry a complete load in a shorter period and also less wrinkles require less ironing.

Fourth Saving.

The dryer balls also keep hold of the heat and transfer this into the clothes when they tumble, further quickening the drying period.

Fifth Saving.

Because a normal load of clothes will now be dry within a shorter period than you are used to, the many moving parts in the dryer will be working for much less overall time, minimizing wear and tear, friction, and on costly tumble dryer repairs.

How to use Dryer Balls.

Dryer balls are re-usable. Whenever you come to lift out your dried washing, just leave the dryer balls inside the tumble dryer, and so the very next time the dryer is used, they’re going to begin working their magic the moment the drier is started. Operate the machine at the regular heat setting for those fabrics you are drying, but be sure to choose a reduced drying time.

How about Sensor Dryers?

Sensor dryers will simply workout the quicker drying time period automatically. Tumble Dryer Balls really are reusable for 100’s of times, therefore you will get the benefits repeatedly!

Are there any downsides?

Yes there are a couple of things to understand.

1st Just like many items these days, there are fakes being sold which usually seem the same as the originals. Therefore you should buy from a trustworthy company and search for those dryer balls that have an unconditional 2 year replace or refund guarantee.

2nd Dryer balls can increase the noise out of your dryer because they occasionally bounce of the metal drum as they tumble about, this is harmless.

3rd With some very old tumble dryers, there may be white paint inside the actual drum, as these dryers are older this paint can start to come off and become mixed in with your laundry. In some unusual instances dryer balls could make this even worse. If your dryer is under ten years old, there will be no trouble with this. If it’s slightly older, make sure that the painted drum is definitely in good shape.
