Picking The Right Moms Club For You

Picking between organized clubs and non organized clubs can be hard. The big difference is that the first group have bylaws. These bylaws can be annoying but they serve a purpose. You should check out the bylaws before joining any club. This is to make sure that their bylaws meet your needs. Some clubs do not allow night time meetings. There are plenty of things better offered at night. Interest groups like a scrapbook group for club members would best be held at night.

Groups with no bylaws seem nice at first. In the end though those bylaws are highly needed. The leader of the group can be overly bossy in what she wants. Often you will see her make up the rules without putting it up to a vote. If you go for a disorganized group, the more disorganized the better. Some rules are needed but too many rules often mean that the leader might be a bit of a monarch in the group. Disorganized groups often run things through polls. Watch the polls to see if they are offering a wide range of choices. Pay attention to the leaders behavior.

In an organized group if the leaders or board are not doing a good job they are easily replaced in the next board election. Things often get better after that. In a disorganized group the leader almost never changes. This is ultimately what makes organized groups better in the end.

Ask yourself what you are looking for in a club first. Investigate all your options. If you ever feel that you have picked the wrong club for you, do not feel like you must remain in that club. Keep looking to find a better one.
