I have been a stay at home mom since October 1997. I have one daughter Nyssa Renee who was born 11-25-97. I have been running Sahm I Am since early 1998. Sahm I Am actually started out as a baby gear advice page and worked its way into being a stay at home mom support page.

Besides web design I enjoy scrapbooking, sleeping, gardening, rubber stamping, reading, and of course playing games with Nyssa. I collect Longaberger Baskets and Boyds Bears. I used to collect dolls but two years of living in the San Francisco Bay area of California has kind of killed the joy in that. I currently live on the east coast where I am close to both my family as well as my husband's family.

The last year has been especially interesting for my family. My husband lost his job out in California. We moved back east and discovered jobs are hard to find. So for the last few months Dh and I switched places. He was a stay at home dad and I was the working mom. We have been living life in each other's shoes. While I have enjoyed my small journey back to the working world, I am glad to be a stay at home mom again. I think Dh would say the same for going back to work. It has helped us see the other persons side of things. I think we will both be more understanding when things return to the way they were.
